noClot-50TM Product Description noClot-50TM Anticoagulant Citrate Dextrose Solution, Solution A (ACD-A), USP (2.13% free citrate ion), is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution.  noClot-50TM  is used as an anticoagulant in the extracorporeal blood processing with Autologous PRP Systems in the preparation of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). Citrate-based anticoagulants prevent the coagulation of blood by virtue of the citrate ion's ability to chelate ionized calcium present in the blood to form a non-ionized calcium-citrate complex.  When the total dose of citrate ions is greater than the total amount of ionized calcium, clotting is prevented. Product Uniqueness ACD-A is the only anticoagulant product approved by the United States Food & Drug Administration for the use in Autologous PRP Systems for the preparation of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). To access the anticoagulant, the stopper can be punctured with a needle or the screw cap can be removed for direct access. The only anticoagulant that has a "tamper-resistant" seal. noClot-50TM has a CE mark.
